Leroy Young, M.D., and Mark L Jewell, M.D. Betweenthem, they bring eighty years' combined experience in plastic surgery. TheMedical Advisory Board will play a key role in the development and promotion ofAorTech's unique and highly versatile Elast-EonTM product, in a range ofsurgical applications. Leroy Young (aged 60) is currently Plastic Surgeon and Partner at Body AestheticPlastic Surgery & Skincare Centre, Chief of Surgical Services, Barnes-JewishWest County Hospital and a Consultant at the Breast Implant Research Group atWashington University, St Louis, Missouri. Over a period of 13 years he played akey leadership role in the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons(ASAPS), where he served on the Board of Directors and held a number ofcommittee positions, including leadership in strategic planning, finance andinvestment and patient safety issues. Dr Young is on the Breast Implant TaskForce, and a key opinion leader and publisher of articles (over 170) in thisfield. Mark Jewell (aged 58) is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery atOregon Health Science University in Portland, Oregon and has practiced plasticsurgery in Eugene, Oregon for the last 27 years. He holds several leadershippositions at the ASAPS and is currently Immediate Past President. He is alsoCo-Chair of the Breast Implant Task Force and Group Co-Chair of the BreastImplant Work Group for the ASAPS and ASPS (American Society of PlasticSurgeons). Mark also brings valuable experience in general and breast surgery tothe Medical Advisory Board. He has extensive experience of technologicalinnovations in plastic surgery in plastic surgery and has authored 40peer-reviewed articles and books. With these two appointments, AorTech will have access to regulatory, strategicand practical advice, as well as a high level of counsel from these key opinionleaders.
