AQUARIUS PLATINUM LIMITED 22 August 2011 Media comment in respect of Zimbabwean indigenisation
Aquarius Platinum Limited confirms recent media comment to the effect that its (indirectly held) Zimbabwean subsidiary, Mimosa Holdings (Pvt) Ltd ("Mimosa"), received a letter on Friday 19 August from the Minister of Youth Development, Indigenisation and Empowerment that, inter alia, rejects the proposed plan for indigenisation submitted by Mimosa on 9 May 2011, and further requires that Mimosa submit a revised proposal by the end of August.
Mimosa's senior management remains in discussions with all of the various relevant Zimbabwean authorities in order to ensure that a satisfactory position is arrived at within the timeframes required by the relevant legislation.
