Travis Perkins PLC14 June 2005 14 June 2005 Travis Perkins PLC Divisional Management Appointments in Travis Perkins John Frost, currently Managing Director of Travis Perkins South West, will beappointed Managing Director of City Plumbing Supplies with effect from 11 July2005, taking over from Mark Smith who will be leaving the Group. The Groupextends it thanks to Mark for his valuable contribution to the business. John has developed a very successful region in the South West over a number ofyears, growing the Travis Perkins branch network there from 43 in 1996 to 150 in2005 and developing a highly capable management team. He will bring hisconsiderable knowledge and experience to the Plumbing and Heating division,continuing the integration process and leading further development of ournationwide City Plumbing Supplies business. The new Managing Director of Travis Perkins South West will be Norman Bell whojoins from Big Food Group where he was Group Strategy Director responsible forall corporate transactions, regulatory matters and property. Norman previouslyspent 10 years with Somerfield Stores in a number of senior director roles,including Business Development Director, Managing Director of a Group Divisionand finally as Finance and Logistics Director. Norman was also OperationsDirector with Wickes prior to the acquisition of Wickes by Focus Group. Normanjoins Travis Perkins on 1 July 2005. Both Norman and John will report directly to John Carter, the Group's ChiefOperating Officer.
