Management Additions
Hardy Oil and Gas plc (LSE : HDY), the oil and gas exploration and production company with interests predominantly in India, today announces the appointment of William M Satterfield as Technical Director of the Company's wholly owned subsidiary, Hardy Exploration and Production (India) Inc ("HEPI"). Hardy is also pleased to announce the appointment of Robert White as Drilling Manager of HEPI.
In his capacity, Mr Satterfield will be responsible for all exploration, appraisal and development activities of Hardy in India reporting to its President and Chief Executive Officer, Yogeshwar Sharma. Mr Satterfield has 22 years of exploration, production and business development operating experience with Occidental Oil and Gas Corp. He has lived and worked in Bangladesh, Dubai, Qatar, Colombia and the USA in a variety of technical management roles with Occidental. Prior to joining Hardy, Mr Satterfield was Geoscience Manager for Occidental's Central California assets. Mr Satterfield holds a MA and BS in Geology from the University of Texas.
Mr Robert. A. White has joined as Drilling Manager in India reporting to Technical Director Mr Satterfield and has over 37 years experience in offshore and onshore drilling, project management and related fields. Prior to joining Hardy, Mr White held drilling management positions with Aral Petroleum, Kazakhoil Aktobe in Kazakhstan and Dragon Oil in Turkmenistan. Mr White recently supervised the construction and commissioning of two deep water drillships for Chevron and Hess Corporation and has been a consulting drilling manager for its PY-3 field during its second phase of development in 2001.
Commenting on the management additions, Mr Yogeshwar Sharma, Chief Executive Officer of Hardy, said:
