Major Interest in Shares

By notification on 22 September 2010, EIIB was advised that, in November 2008, Al Salam Opportunities Ltd ("Al Salam") increased its shareholding in EIIB from 182,553,515 ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company ("Shares") to 182,578,515 Shares, representing over 10% of the total voting rights of the Company as at that date.
In addition, the Company was advised that, in November 2008, Mr. Khalid A. Rahman S. Al-Rajhi transferred to Al Salam at no cost the whole of his interest in the Company's voting rights, amounting to 134,838,000 Shares, and therefore no longer has a direct interest in the voting rights of the Company. Mr. Al-Rajhi is a Director of Al-Rajhi Holdings, of which Al Salam is an affiliated company. The transfer was made pursuant to an internal re-organisation of investments within the Al-Rajhi Holdings group.
Al Salam currently has a beneficial interest in 187,741,282 Shares, representing approximately 10.63% of the Company's current total voting rights.
