Logica wins global IT agreements

Logica wins global IT agreements with two Nordic multinationals

Logica, the IT business and services company, has signed separate global IT contracts with two Swedish multinationals, each market leaders in their respective fields of telecommunications and retail. The new frame agreements are a result of the companies' new sourcing strategies, aiming to partner with a limited number of the best suppliers in order to enhance efficiency and reduce cost.

One of the new wins makes Logica a preferred outsourcing partner to a world-leading supplier in telecommunications to deliver services in the field of standard applications development as part of a five year contract. Logica has also been selected IT partner to a well-known multinational retailer, making Logica one of the preferred suppliers for IT for the coming three years.

"We are delighted with these two strategic wins for Logica. We have extended our partnership with both these market leaders to include a global dimension. Both wins show how Logica supports multinational clients locally and globally via a consistent and competitive global delivery model that provides great business value to clients", said Andy Green, CEO of Logica Group.

"This is further proof of Logica's strength in the Nordic markets for IT services and outsourcing. The potential volume and scope of these new frame agreements are of a type that we would not have been considered for before becoming a fully integrated part of Logica earlier this year," said Stefan Gardefjord, CEO of Logica in Sweden.

The contracts will draw on Logica's blended delivery model which allocates the optimal IT resources from across Logica's service centres in the world.
