Loading of First Bulk Shipment Underway

ASX, AIM and Media Release 14 February 2014 LOADING OF FIRST BULK SHIPMENT UNDERWAY Base Resources Limited (ASX & AIM: BSE) ("Base") ("Base" or the "Company") ispleased to advise that an export permit for the first bulk shipment from theKwale Mineral Sands Project has been granted and loading is now underway. Baseexpects to export its maiden shipment of 25,000 tonnes of ilmenite over theweekend on the bulk carrier MV African Eagle, which docked at the Company'sLikoni marine facility on Wednesday. The Likoni marine facility was completed in December and deliveries of finishedilmenite and rutile product are being stockpiled in the 60,000 tonne capacityport storage shed in advance of shipment. All work packages are now completeand operational, with the exception of the zircon circuit of the mineralseparation plant which is currently undergoing feed commissioning, withproduction of zircon expected to commence in the next couple of weeks.
