LG Electronics renews license agreement for TriDef 3D

Los Angeles, California: DDD Group plc (AIM: DDD), the 3D solutions company, has renewed its license agreement with LG Electronics ("LG") to bundle DDD's TriDef® 3D software with LG's growing line of 3D PC products.

The two-year extension allows LG to continue to ship DDD's market-leading TriDef 3D software that enables 3D gaming and videos on LG's range of 3D notebooks, PCs and monitors.

LG's 3D PC products are based on the polarized 3D system, delivering the ultimate 3D viewing experience with comfortable, lightweight 3D glasses.

Available in over 30 languages, DDD's TriDef 3D software allows over 650 of the latest PC games to be played in stereoscopic 3D 'off the shelf', even if the game has not been specifically developed for 3D.

The TriDef 2D to 3D game conversion engine is compatible with DirectX 9, 10 and 11 games. Its unique high-performance stereoscopic 3D render mode enables 3D gaming with no significant compromise in performance, and is compatible with PC graphics processors from AMD, nVIDIA and Intel's 2nd Gen Core processors.

The TriDef 3D media player automatically converts videos, photos and DVD movies from 2D to 3D.

To round out its comprehensive 3D offering, LG's 3D PC products will include a selection of original 3D movie trailers from the growing library of high definition 3D movies available at Yabazam.com, DDD's 3D content portal.

DDD and LG are collaborating to introduce 3D gaming to the sizeable I-Café market in China, estimated at over 144,000 locations. Beta testing of the new TriDef enabled I-Café software with LG 3D monitors began in select I-Café locations in July.
