Imagination Technologies Group PLC29 November 2005 Imagination Technologies Group plc Imagination Technologies announces Texas Instruments' new OMAPV2230 integratedUMTS solution to utilize its PowerVR MBX Lite graphics core Imagination Technologies Group plc ("Imagination Technologies"), the leadingprovider of multimedia and communication intellectual property ("IP"), reportsthat Texas Instruments Incorporated ("TI") is utilizing Imagination's PowerVRMBX Lite core in its new OMAPV2230 UMTS Solution. Part of TI's OMAP-VoxTMarchitecture, the new OMAPV2230 solution is an integrated UMTS dual-mode digitalbaseband processor and advanced applications processor, developed to serve theworldwide 3G handset market. Manufacturers are currently designing handsets based on the OMAPV2230 solution,which is sampling now, and products are expected on the market in 2006. Under the terms of its licensing arrangements Imagination Technologies receiveslicense fees and royalty revenues on System on Chips ("SoC") incorporatingImagination Technologies' IP shipped by partners.
