Lenovo launches 3D all-in-one PC with DDD's TriDef®3D technology
Los Angeles, California: DDD Group plc (AIM: DDD), the 3D solutions company, has licensed its TriDef®3D software to Lenovo for its 3D IdeaCentre all-in-one (AIO) PCs which launch today.
DDD's TriDef 3D automatically converts DVD movies, video and photo files from 2D to 3D. It also allows over 540 of the latest 2D PC games to be played in 3D, and is available in 37 languages.
The TriDef 3D software will be supplied with the AIO PC to deliver 3D viewing using simple, lightweight polarized glasses, making it both cost-effective and convenient.
The new B520e 3D AIO PCs deliver a truly immersive 3D visual experience for entertainment and gaming. Lenovo successfully used TriDef 3D last year with the Y560d 3D notebook and is committed to developing more 3D products with TriDef 3D.
The 2D-to-3D game conversion solution is compatible with games that run on the DirectX 9, 10 and 11 application programming interfaces.
To ensure plenty of content for 3D viewing, Lenovo also includes a selection of original, high definition 3D programming available from Yabazam.com, DDD's 3D entertainment portal.
DDD will receive quarterly royalty revenues from Lenovo based on the volume of 3D PCs shipped.
Chris Yewdall, chief executive of DDD, said:
"Lenovo is a powerhouse in the PC market and their choice to use TriDef 3D in its growing range of 3D products reinforces DDD's position as a leader in the 3D market."
