Purchase of Shares for the Legal & General Employees' Share Ownership Trust

Legal & General Group Plc announces that on 8 June 2010, the trustees of the Legal & General Employees' Share Ownership Trust (ESOT) have purchased 100,000 Ordinary shares of 2.5p each. The price paid was 0.75p per share.

These shares were acquired to satisfy needs arising under existing employee share schemes in which employees and executive directors participate.
