888 Holdings plc16 October 2007 888 Holdings Plc("888" or the "Company") 888 Launches Italian Sportsbook - 888.it 888, one of the world's most popular online gaming entertainment companies,announces the launch of its Italian sportsbook 888.it. 888.it is the Company'sfirst ever licensed sportsbook offering and is a clear progression of theCompany's overall strategy to expand its product offering and capitalize onprofitable markets. Following the tender opened by the Italian Monopoly (AAMS) in October 2006, 888was granted an online sports betting licence. As per the licence, the weboffering is restricted to sports betting and skill games, with possibleextension to any other new games that the Italian regulator may wish tointroduce in the future. 888.it, together with Cogetech, a local partner specializing in the Italianmarket, will offer fixed odds initially related to all national sports eventsand international events that are of a national interest (excluding horseraces).
