Product Launch
ServicePower Launches Servicers.com, Crowdsourcing Site for Field TechniciansNew cloud-based, on-demand job booking site allows any U.S. company to source field service technicians for delivery, installation or repair jobs online.
ServicePower Technologies Plc (AIM: SVR), a market leader in field management, announced today the US launch of www.servicers.com, the first website specifically designed to connect qualified field technicians with service jobs quickly, providing customers with timely delivery, installation and repair service.
Derived from ServicePower's ServiceMarket field management platform, servicers.com is a cloud-based Software-as-a-Service application that enables companies in any industry, including retail, e-commerce providers, manufacturers, or insurance companies as well as third party administrators, to quickly dispatch work to a nationwide network of third-party technicians.
The technician database comprises independent service and installation companies, as well as individual technicians. For quality assurance, each technician must submit to a background screening and drug test performed by LexisNexis.
In addition, detailed information on each third-party is available on servicers.com, such as contact details, training, certifications and licensing, as well as photographs of vehicles and individual technicians. A critical component of the platform, which helps maintain high customer service standards and quality control, is a technician rating feature crowdsourced from previous customers. Technicians manage their ratings closely to increase their opportunity to supply labor for other servicers.com customers.
Customers determine the credentials and skills required for jobs posted to servicers.com, ensuring only qualified technicians are eligible to perform the work. Customers also post the price they're willing to pay for the completed work, for which the technicians may accept or offer counter bids. Payments for services performed are also conveniently processed through servicers.com.
Mark Duffin, Chief Executive Officer of ServicePower, commented, "The launch of Servicers.com clearly positions ServicePower at the forefront of the field service management industry. Realising the trend toward crowdsourced services, we knew field service management was in need of a similar solution with legitimate technician rankings. Servicers.com provides vetted servicers for jobs that need to be completed quickly and with high standards - It's like eBay for service jobs. Customers select their need, a qualified servicer completes it, and then the customer honestly rates their experience. Servicers.com will perpetuate good service."
Servicers.com provides real-time status data, mobile compatibility and reporting currently supported by the ServicePower field management platform, making it accessible and easy to use for technicians nationwide.
The next planned release of servicers.com will include global language, geography and currency support.
