Launch of Cartoon Stripz
LiteBulb (AIM: LBB) is pleased to announce the launch of Cartoon Stripz, its new brand of play sets for children. The first Cartoon Stripz sets will hit the shelves in October, featuring one of the UK's fastest-selling merchandising brands, Moshi Monsters, as its first license.
Click Distribution UK Ltd (one of the UK's leading distributors of collectible toys) has been signed up for exclusive distribution in the UK and Ireland, and has already secured sales with Toys 'R' Usand Next in the UK and Heatons in Ireland.Embracing the online aspect of the Moshi Monsters brand, Cartoon Stripz will encourage children to create their own cartoon episodes and send photographs and videos to Cartoon Stripz to win prizes.
Creator Paul Conisbee of Litebulb Group explained the idea behind the innovative toy: "We wanted to give kids the opportunity to create a physical, interactive Moshi Monsters world. Our research shows that children love the 'snap & twist' model and the opportunity to get creative with their favourite Moshi Monsters."
Click Distribution's Managing Director Mark Hillier commented, "We are delighted to be working closely with LiteBulb Group to introduce to our customers Cartoon Stripz, and what better license to launch the product with than Moshi Monsters. There is a strong promotional and marketing plan which will be rolled out on launch, which we are sure will create a very strong demand for the product. Our retail partners have shown great commitment towards Cartoon Stripz and we are sure their support will be rewarded with excellent levels of sales."
With over 65 million registered users across the globe (one third of which are in the United Kingdom), Mind Candy's www.MoshiMonsters.com is a growing phenomenon; a virtual world in which children can adopt, customise and nurture their very own pet monster. Dave Tovey, Consumer Products Manager at Mind Candy, commented, "We're looking forward to working with LiteBulb Group and think the Moshi Monsters Cartoon Stripz will be great fun for kids!"
