BBA Aviation PLC19 December 2006 BBA AVIATION ANNOUNCEMENT BBA Aviation announces Landing Gear System Contract with Eurocopter BBA Aviation announces today that APPH, its landing gear and hydraulic systemintegrator, has signed a contract with Eurocopter France to design, develop,certify and manufacture the landing gear system for the EC-175 helicopter. Thisseven tonne utility helicopter is a joint development programme betweenEurocopter and Harbin Aviation Industries Group of China. The market for this programme is expected to be up to 1000 helicopters, with aproduction life cycle of 20 years. The value of the contract for OriginalEquipment and spares is anticipated to be in excess of $100m of revenue, withthe first deliveries expected in 2010. APPH focuses on landing gear and hydraulics systems for specialist niche marketsand this contract award is another major step in achieving its organic growthstrategy and significantly increases BBA Aviation's profile and footprint in theglobal aviation systems market.
