Kylos Air Customer Approval
Starcom (AIM: STAR), which specialises in the development of wireless solutions for the remote tracking, monitoring and protection of a variety of assets and people, is pleased to announce that global cargo transportation provider, Amerijet Airlines has approved the Company's Kylos Air GPS Tracking Device for Air Cargo ("Kylos Air") use aboard its aircraft.
Amerijet Airlines ("Amerijet"), based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is the wholly-owned subsidiary of Amerijet International, Inc. and has offices in 78 Countries and moves more than 136,000 metric tonnes of cargo per year.
Kylos Air allows for the tracking / close monitoring of high value air cargo (such as electronics equipment), temperature sensitive products (such as pharmaceuticals) and products which could be shock sensitive or where a constant record of the delivery chain is vital. The units switch into "Airplane Mode" while in the air, but communicate the moment the cargo exits the aircraft, helping minimise the time that the cargo is not being tracked.
Pamela Rollins, Senior VP Business Development, at Amerijet Airlines, commented, "We have identified the need for the latest in tracking technology to better serve our shipping clientele and Starcom provides this technology. Being able to know exactly where cargo is, and being able to track or monitor it on your smartphone, desktop or via your own tracking platform is critical to the next generation of services we intend to provide."
Avi Hartmann, CEO of Starcom, commented, "Amerijet's approval of the Kylos Air sets the stage for us to work closely with companies in industries such as Pharmaceutical, High Value and Electronics, whose products require constant monitoring.
"The approval represents the first step in our relationship with Amerijet and we hope that our collaboration will enable Starcom to access new customers in new markets in due course. The Company looks forward to providing shareholders with further updates as orders for Kylos Air are received following this initial approval."
