Aminex PLC06 December 2007 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 6 DECEMBER 2007 AMINEX PLC KILIWANI-1 WELL UPDATE Aminex PLC, the London and Dublin listed oil and gas company, ("Aminex" or the "Company") today provides an update on the Kiliwani-1 well on the Nyuni / EastSongo-Songo licence offshore Tanzania. A 12-1/4" directional pilot hole has now been drilled to 1,322 metres measureddepth (1,147 metres true vertical depth) and the hole is currently being openedfrom 12-1/4" to 17-1/2" at a depth of 590 metres in preparation for running 13-3/8" surface casing. The well is proceeding satisfactorily on schedule and thetarget drilled depth is approximately 2,500 metres. Contrary to reports, but as expected by Aminex, the well has not so farencountered any significant hydrocarbon shows. At this stage, it is far tooearly to make any prognosis on the outcome of the well. Further reports will beprovided as soon as it is appropriate to do so.
