KCM announcement
Vedanta and KCM had challenged the jurisdiction of the English courts to hear and adjudicate the claims by Zambian residents in relation to KCM's operations in Zambia. The English High Court of Justice, Queen's Bench Division, Technology and Construction Court today released a judgment, ruling that the English courts have jurisdiction to hear and adjudicate the claims.
This judgment relates solely to the jurisdiction of the English courts to hear these claims. It is not a ruling or a determination on the merits of the claims.
Vedanta and KCM are examining the Court's judgment and considering all options including an appeal of the Court's decision.

For us, uncertainties arise from the behaviour of financial and metals markets including the London Metal Exchange, fluctuations in interest and/or exchange rates and metal prices; from future integration of acquired businesses; and from numerous other matters of national, regional and global scale, including those of a political, economic, business, competitive or regulatory nature. These uncertainties may cause our actual future results to be materially different that those expressed in our forward-looking statements. We do not undertake to update our forward-looking statements.
