Kalia Mining Licence Approval

Bellzone Mining plc (AIM:BZM) ("Bellzone" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the signing of the Decree (D/2012/100/PRG/SCG) for the Mining Concession ("Mining Licence") of the Company's Kalia Mining Project by The President of the Republic of Guinea, Alpha Condé, on 24 August 2012 and the publication of the event in the Government Gazette (Journal Officiel, Special Août 2012) published on 6 September 2012.

The Kalia Iron Project comprises the Kalia Mining Project ("KMP") and the Kalia Rail and Port Project ("KRPP"). The KMP and associated resources are wholly owned by Bellzone. The Mining Licence, along with the ratified Mining Convention (announced on 2 September 2010), completes the mine permitting for the KMP and is valid for 25 years with further extensions possible.

The Mining Licence area also includes Bellzone's Faranah iron ore permit area, thereby increasing the resource potential by adding approximately 6km of known magnetite strike and surface oxide potential. The Mining Licence approval is another key milestone for Bellzone and provides the stimulus to accelerate the development of the KRPP. As previously announced, Bellzone and China International Fund Limited ("CIF") have entered into a definitive agreement whereby CIF will fund and develop the KRPP through Kalia Horizon Minerals Pte Limited, a Joint Venture company owned by CIF (90%) and Bellzone (10%).
