Menzies(John) PLC22 December 2006 John Menzies plc announces a joint venture with Eason John Menzies plc, the time critical logistics company, is pleased to announcethat its subsidiary, Menzies Distribution Limited (Menzies), has entered into aconditional joint venture agreement with Eason & Son Ltd (Eason). The joint venture will see Menzies and Eason combine their Newspaper andMagazine distribution businesses in Northern Ireland and the Republic ofIreland. The new venture at its start up will have estimated gross assets of£6.1m. The new venture will deliver newspapers and magazines to some 5,200 retailers. The deal is subject to certain approvals and is expected to complete in the NewYear.
