Roc Oil Company Limited04 April 2006 4 April 2006 ROC OIL COMPANY LIMITED ("ROC") STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE JACALA-1 RE-SPUDS, OFFSHORE WESTERN AUSTRALIA ROC advises that the BHP Billiton-operated Jacala-1 wildcat exploration well inWA-351-P re-commenced drilling operations on 3 April 2006, following theevacuation of personnel from the Atwood Eagle rig due to cyclone activity, andoperational problems setting the conductor in the original hole. As at 0600 hrs Western Standard Time on 4 April 2006 the well had been drilledto a depth of 1,140 metres below rotary table and the current operation iscementing the conductor. Jacala-1 is located in the deep water Carnarvon Basin, offshore WesternAustralia, approximately 200 km west of Barrow Island and 100 km northwest ofthe Enfield Oil and Gas Field. The well is expected to take about 18 days to reach a total depth of 2,322metres.
