Issue of shares out of treasury

EDP announces that it has today issued 80,000 ordinary shares of 5 pence each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") out of treasury pursuant to the exercise of options at a price of 45.5p per share.

Following the issue, the Company has 12,610,976 Ordinary Shares in issue, excluding 1,173,097 Ordinary Shares held in treasury.
