Issue of Shares

Further to the placing of Zero Dividend Preference shares completed in August 2009, and in response to investor demand, Electra Private Equity Investments plc (the "Company") has today placed 4,295,000 Zero Dividend Preference shares 2016 with an institutional investor at a subscription price of 104 pence per share. These shares have been placed subject to admission as detailed below.

Application has been made to list the new zero dividend preference shares on the Official List of the UK Listing Authority and to trading on the main market of the London Stock Exchange with dealings expected to commence at 8 a.m. on 7 December 2009.

Immediately following the issue, the Company's issued share capital will consist of 47,295,000 zero dividend preference shares of 0.01p nominal valueand 50,000 ordinary shares.
