Ascent Resources PLC03 January 2008 ASCENT RESOURCES PLC ("Ascent" or the "Company") Issue of Equity Ascent announces that it has issued and allotted 2,190,000 ordinary shares of0.1p each ("Ordinary Shares") pursuant to an exercise of warrants, 1,500,000 atan exercise price of 12p per share and 690,000 at an exercise price of 12.5p pershare. Application has been made to the London Stock Exchange for the OrdinaryShares, which will rank pari passu with existing shares in issue, to be admittedto trading on AIM, and admission is expected to become effective on 4 January2008.
