The Board of Petrel Resources plc ('the Company') announces that it has issued 344,828 ordinary shares of €.0125 each in the Company in lieu of fees outstanding to a contractor to the Company.
Application has been made to the London Stock Exchange for the new ordinary shares to be admitted to AIM and it is expected that admission will take place on 5 February 2009. The new ordinary shares will rank pari passu with the existing shares of the Company. Following admission, the total issued share capital of the Company will be 72,574,624 ordinary shares.
