Avacta Group plc Issue of Equity

Avacta Group plc (the "Company") announces that 750,700 ordinary shares of 0.1p each ("Ordinary Shares") have been issued at an average price of 4.79 pence per share pursuant to contractual obligations for services provided to the Company.

Application has been made for the admission of the 750,700 new Ordinary Shares to trading on AIM and dealings are expected to commence on 31 July 2007.

The total number of Ordinary Shares in issue following the above issue is 778,478,042.
