Issue of Equity
Sefton Resources (AIM: SER), the independent oil and gas exploitation and production company with interests in California and Kansas, is pleased to announce that, further to the announcement on 22 September 2011 of a share placing (the "Placing") of 70,000,000 new common shares of no par value in the capital of the Company ("New Common Shares") at a price of 2.0p per share, the New Common Shares have now been issued and allotted.
The additional New Common Shares will represent approximately 20 per cent. of the Company's enlarged issued share capital immediately following the Placing.
Application has been made for the New Common Shares to be admitted to trading on AIM. It is expected that Admission will be effective and that dealings in the shares will commence on Tuesday 27 September 2011.
The New Common Shares will rank pari passu with the existing Common Shares.
The Company's enlarged share capital immediately following the issue of the New Common Shares will be 350,031,959 Common Shares. There are no shares held in Treasury. The figure of 350,031,959 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the share capital of the Company under the Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
