Issue of Equity

The following amendment has been made to the Issue of Ordinary Shares announcement released on 16 March 2026 at 18:09 under RNS No 8535W ("the Announcement").

The price per Ordinary share should have been of 180.10 pence in the Announcement. A reference to the purchase date of 16 March 2026 has also been inserted as this replacement Announcement was issued on 17 March 2026. These amendments have been made below.

AVI Japan Opportunity Trust PLC (the "Company") announces that on 16 March 2026 the Company issued 750,000 shares from treasury at a price of 180.10 pence per Ordinary share and at a premium to the prevailing net asset value.

Following the issue of the Ordinary Shares, the Company's issued share capital, shares held in treasury and the Total Voting Rights of the Company are now as follows:

This figure (222,473,394) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in the Company under the Financial Conduct Authority's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.
