ISSUANCE OF NEW SHARES
Frontera Resources Corporation (London Stock Exchange, AIM Market - Symbol: FRR; OTCQX Market, U.S.A. - Symbol: FRTE), an independent oil and gas exploration and production company, today announced that, pursuant to conversions of the Company's 10% convertible notes due 2012, it has applied for the admission of 32,349 shares of Common Stock to trading on AIM.
Following this issue, the enlarged issued share capital of the Company is 74,900,928 shares of Common Stock (excluding 5,739,855 shares held as treasury stock). The new shares, which are expected to be admitted to trading on March 12, 2009, will rank pari passu with the existing shares.
