ISSUANCE OF NEW SHARES
Frontera Resources Corporation (London Stock Exchange, AIM Market - Symbol: FRR; OTCQX Market, U.S.A. - Symbol: FRTE), an independent oil and gas exploration and production company, today announced that, pursuant to a conversion of the Company's 10% convertible notes due 2012, it has applied for the admission of 129,386 shares of Common Stock to trading on AIM.
Following this issue, the enlarged issued share capital of the Company is 71,134,088 shares of Common Stock. The new shares, which are expected to be admitted to trading on June 5, 2008, will rank pari passu with the existing shares.
