ISG UK Regions secures £80 million New Contracts and announces increased Order Book
Interior Services Group plc's UK Regional Construction Division ("the Division") is pleased to announce significant new contracts and an increase in its order book despite the challenging economic conditions.
The Division has been awarded new contracts and framework allocations of £80m in December and January including £46m in the public sector. The current forward order book of the Division now stands at over £350m, up 12% on November 2008, providing visibility through 2009 and into 2010. The Division is also preferred bidder on a further £30m of work predominantly in the Education sector.
Public sector frameworks continue to generate a range of opportunities and in the two month period the Division was allocated £30m of new work. The Division is mid-way through its seven year partnering framework with the Ministry of Justice, a four year framework deal with Manchester City Council and several frameworks with Housing Associations.
The Division is pleased to report that of the £80m of new contracts and framework allocations, £34m was generated from private sector contract awards, of which £18m was from the Hotel and Leisure sectors.
David Lawther, ISG Chief Executive, said:
"These contract awards demonstrate the diversity of ISG's business and our ability to win repeat business. Six months ago we announced £130m of contract wins in the Education sector including the landmark £50m South West Ipswich and South Suffolk Sixth Form Centre and these further awards demonstrate our growing expertise in the public sector."
