IRINA CORNIDES APPOINTED CEO OF JACKPOTJOY DIVISION
London (UK) 12 June 2017 - Jackpotjoy plc (LSE:JPJ) (the "Company"), the largest online bingo-led operator in the world, is pleased to announce the appointment of Irina Cornides as CEO of the Jackpotjoy division.
The Company's Jackpotjoy division, which is its largest division and has a 22% market share in the UK, was acquired from the Gamesys Group in April 2015 on an earn-out, and its main brands - Jackpotjoy, Starspins and Botemania - currently operate on proprietary software owned by Gamesys. Irina Cornides in her new role will act as the primary point of contact and a management intermediary between Jackpotjoy plc and Gamesys. Irina will be tasked with maintaining the existing strong relationship between the two parties, along with helping to set the strategic direction for the Jackpotjoy division and overseeing the running of the brands after the earn-outs conclude. Irina will report to Jackpotjoy plc CEO, Andrew McIver.
Irina was most recently Chief Revenue Officer of Intertain Bahamas', the holding company for the operating assets belonging to Jackpotjoy plc, where she was responsible for harnessing synergies across the Company's P&L divisions and creating strategies to drive growth. Irina joined Intertain through the acquisition of Mandalay Media in 2014, where she served as Managing Director.
Her prior industry experience spans over a decade and includes roles at Party Gaming (bwin.party / GVC) both pre-and-post IPO. Irina holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Economics from the University College London and a Master of Science (MSc) in Management from the London School of Economics.
