INVESTOR SITE VISIT

Spectris plc, the productivity-enhancing instrumentation and controls company, announces that institutional clients of J.P. Morgan Cazenove will be visiting its Malvern Instruments facility in Malvern, England, today. No material new information will be provided during the visit and there will be no update on current trading.

Spectris will issue its interim results on 27 July 2012.
