Investor event and trading update

Ashtead Group plc is holding a two day investor event in New York commencing today, April 19, 2018.

Today there will be a presentation which will focus on the Group's North American business, Sunbelt Rentals, and provide an update on our five year "Project 2021" plan to increase our location footprint by circa 50% by 2021. We will also focus on the breadth of our end markets beyond the construction sector and how Sunbelt's technology continues to be a key differentiator for us in the North American market.

Tomorrow there will be a site visit to a Sunbelt location on Long Island. This aerial work platform location, which was acquired with the Pride acquisition last year, services the New York City market and surrounding areas. The visit will illustrate how bolt-on acquisitions are an integral part of the overall growth plan for the business. 

The presentation will also include the following update on current trading: The Group has continued to perform well in the fourth quarter of the current financial year and we expect full year results to be in line with our expectations.

The event will be hosted by Geoff Drabble, CEO, Brendan Horgan, CEO of Sunbelt and COO of Ashtead Group, and Michael Pratt, Finance Director, together with a number of the Sunbelt senior management team.
