8 June 2016

Aggreko plc

Investor & Analyst visit

Today (8 June 2016) Aggreko will host a Technology Teach-in for investors and analysts at its Manufacturing and Technology facility in Dumbarton.

Aggreko previously communicated that a progressive technology agenda was one of its three Business Priorities of Customer, Technology & Efficiency. The visit will provide an overview of the technology agenda and update on Aggreko's progress to date.

The visit will also announce the launch of a containerised medium speed Heavy Fuel Oil (HFO) engine which is in prototype and due to enter production later this year for deployment in 2017.

The only update to guidance is an increase in the level of capital expenditure expected in 2016, which will increase from £250m to around £270m, as a result of the investment in medium speed HFO, net of other movements. Full year profit before tax guidance remains unchanged.

A webcast and copies of the presentation will be available following the presentation at ir.aggreko.com

Notes to Editors

Aggreko plc:

Aggreko plc is the leading global provider of modular, mobile power and adjacent product solutions. Aggreko employs over 7,700 people operating from 204 locations. In 2015 we served customers in about 100 countries, and had revenues of approximately GBP 1.6bn. Aggreko plc is listed on the London Stock Exchange (AGK.L) and is headquartered in Scotland.

In the Rental Solutions business, we operate in developed markets and develop solutions for, and rent our equipment to, customers who then operate it for themselves, although we retain responsibility for servicing and maintaining it. We operate across all sectors in the market, but are heavily involved in oil and gas, petrochemical and refining, mining and events.

In the Power Solutions business, we operate in emerging markets as a power producer. We install and operate modular, mobile power plants for both utility and industrial customers and we charge both for providing the generating capacity, and for the electricity we produce. In our Industrial business, as in Rental Solutions, we are market leaders in oil and gas, petrochemical and refining and mining, whilst our utility business helps countries solve their power shortages.

We design and manufacture equipment specifically for these requirements in our factory in Dumbarton, Scotland.

Medium speed HFO:

Medium speed HFO engines are a well-established engine type used in marine and permanent power applications globally. In terms of production costs, HFO is cheaper than diesel but more expensive than gas. The availability of HFO has made it a popular alternative to gas and diesel.
