2. Main Points

- Samsung Electronics has signed a Direct Funding Agreement (DFA) with the U.S.Department of Commerce for semiconductor subsidies of USD 4.745 billion underthe CHIPS Act.

- The projected investment of USD 37 billion or more will be allocated to coverconstruction and equipment costs, with operations tentatively set to commence in 2026.

- However, the target date of commencement and investment amount may changedepending on the situation of the Company and/or the market, etc.
