Investec Limited (the Company) announces today it has purchased the following number of Investec plc's ordinary shares of 0.0002 pence each through J.P. Morgan Equities South Africa Pty LTD.

The Company intends to treat the shares as if they were treasury shares in the consolidated annual financial statements of the Investec Group.
