Intertek Group EBT Share Purchase

Intertek Group plc (the "Company")

The Company was notified yesterday, 5 October 2011 by Capita Trustees Limited, the Trustees of the Intertek Group Employee Benefit Trust (the "Trust"), that, on 5 October 2011, the Trust purchased 100,000 ordinary shares of 1 penny each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") at a price of £18.33 per Ordinary Share.

Following this purchase, the Trust holds 424,497 Ordinary Shares representing 0.265 per cent of the Company's issued Ordinary Shares and total voting rights.
