Intertek Group EBT Share Purchase

Intertek Group plc (the "Company")

The Company was notified today, 15 August 2011, by Capita Trustees Limited, the Trustees of the Intertek Group Employee Benefit Trust (the "Trust"), that, on 12 August 2011, the Trust purchased 300,332 ordinary shares of 1 penny each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") at a price of £18.29 per Ordinary Share.

Following this purchase, the Trust holds 325,851 Ordinary Shares representing 0.203 per cent of the Company's issued Ordinary Shares and total voting rights.
