Talvivaara Mining Company Ltd21 December 2007 Talvivaara Mining Company to Release Interim Management Statements Instead of Interim Reports for the First and Third Quarters of 2008 21 December 2007 The Board of Directors of Talvivaara Mining Company Ltd. has resolved, based onlaw 152/2007 passed on 9 September 2007 to amend the Finnish Securities MarketAct, to release Interim Management Statements in accordance with Chapter 2Section 5C of the amended act for the first three and nine months of the fiscalyear 2008 instead of Interim Reports for the respective periods. The basis forthe resolution is Section 4 (4) of the Regulation of the Ministry of Finance(153/2007), according to which a company may publish Interim ManagementStatements if its shares are publicly traded only in another member state of theEuropean Economic Area, where listed companies are not required to publishquarterly reports for the first three and nine months of the fiscal year. The publication dates for the Company's Interim Management Statements and theInterim Report will, as published in the Company's Stock Exchange Release of 21December 2007, be the following: • Interim Management Statement January-March 2008, Tuesday 29 April 2008 • Interim Report January-June 2008, Tuesday 29 August 2008 • Interim Management Statement January-September 2008, Thursday 2 October 2008.
