INTERIM MANAGEMENT STATEMENT

 

Goldenport Holdings Inc. ("Goldenport" or "the Company"), (LSE: GPRT) the international shipping company that owns and operates a fleet of container and dry bulk vessels announces today the update on the trading of its fleet as of 19 November 2013 and the Interim Management Statement covering the quarter to 30 September 2013.

Third Quarter 2013, Review of Operations:

During the third quarter of 2013 the Company concluded the sale of the 1990-built bulk carrier 'Vasos', to an unaffiliated third party for a cash consideration of US$ 7.3 million. The vessel was delivered to the new owners on 20 August 2013. Goldenport realized a book profit of US$0.1 million after accounting for brokerage commission and the residual book value of the vessel.

In addition the Company concluded the sale of the 1985-built container vessel 'MSC Accra', to an unaffiliated third party for a cash consideration of US$3.6 million. The vessel was delivered to the new owners on 20 September 2013. The Company realised a book profit of US$2 million after accounting for brokerage commission and the residual book value of the vessel.

The Company's fleet achieved average utilisation of 96% compared to 89% in the third quarter of last year.

 

Net debt, as of 30 September 2013, was US$ 175.5 million (US$ 189.9 million as of 31 December 2012) and net debt to book capitalisation was 49% (49% as of 31 December 2012).
