Interim Board role change
Cello Group plc ("Cello", AIM: CLL "The Group"), the market research and consulting group, announces that Kevin Steeds, Executive Chairman, is seriously ill. The Board looks forward to Kevin's return at the earliest opportunity. In the meantime Mark Scott, the Group's Chief Executive, will assume Kevin's executive responsibilities. Mark will be assisted on a part-time basis by Allan Rich, one of the Group's non-executive directors, who becomes acting Chairman on a non-executive basis.

Allan Rich has spent all of his 45 year working life in the marketing services business. He co-founded Davidson Pearce Berry and Spottiswood which became one of the most successful agencies in the UK during the late 60's and early 70's. In 1975 he founded the first independent media planning and buying company in the UK which he called The Media Business. In 1995 he took the company to the London Stock Market and in 1998 sold his group to Grey Advertising New York in order to create a truly global media organisation, MediaCom. Over the following 4 years MediaCom became the largest media company in the UK and number 5 in the world. Allan is a member of the Audit Committee.
