Inmarsat

FTSE Russell notes the announcement by Inmarsat (UK, B09LSH6, GEIS Small Cap, FTSE 250 Index) in regards to the Court Hearing dates for the scheme of arrangement in relation to the cash acquisition by Connect Bidco Ltd (non-constituent) whereby each share of Inmarsat will be exchanged for USD 7.09. Based on the current timetable, the Court Hearing will take place on 28 November 2019 and 29 November 2019, and the last day of dealings in Inmarsat is expected to coincide with the date the judgement is received (i.e. 28 November or 29 November). Noting that all substantive conditions have been achieved and in order to provide adequate notice to avoid the transaction moving into a delayed status, FTSE Russell intends to remove Inmarsat from the FTSE Russell Indexes (with the associated replacement company added to the FTSE 250 Index), effective from the open of 29 November 2019.
