London Mining Withdraw Claim for Injunction
African Minerals Limited (AIM: AMI), the mineral exploration company with significant interests in Sierra Leone, West Africa, is pleased to announce that on 20 November 2008 London Mining plc ("London Mining"), at the High Court of the Republic of Sierra Leone, withdrew its application for an interim injunction against the Company in respect of a dispute regarding the extent of AML's Marampa iron ore exploration licence (EXPL 09/06).
The Company is continuing with its exploration activities on the project, alongside Cape Lambert Iron Ore Limited (AIM: CLIO), its partner on the Marampa project, targeting the completion of a definitive feasibility study next year.
Frank Timis, Executive Chairman of the Company commented:
"We are pleased that London Mining has withdrawn their application which we considered from the outset had no merit. The Company has always maintained the validity of its licence at Marampa, as confirmed by the Government of Sierra Leone on a number of occasions. We now look forward to continuing our work on the project and to the successful development of an important iron ore resource."
