PhotonStar LED Group plc (AIM: PSL, "PhotonStar" or "the Group"), the British designer and manufacturer of smart LED lighting solutions, has won the Visitor's Choice Award at the ARC Show, Europe's leading event dedicated to the architectural, retail and commercial lighting industry, which was held at the Building Design Centre, Islington, last week.

PhotonStar won the award for its LED lighting "CLE Module" which features the Company's patented colour tuneable ChromaWhite technology. This is the first LED source to match the popular, but soon to be banned, halogen lamp in terms of light colour and quality.

The ARC Show brings together over 3,000 visitors from the entire spectrum of lighting disciplines looking to source the newest and most innovative lighting solutions. Visitors were shown a side by side comparison with a halogen lamp, and the vast majority preferred the light quality of the ChromaWhite based module and it received a large majority of votes from the visitors to the show.

"With halogen lighting soon to be banned, lighting designers are increasingly looking for alternative light sources with the same aesthetic characteristic of warming in colour when dimmed and rendering colours true to daylight.
