Melrose Resources PLC28 November 2007 Immediate Release 28 November 2007 MELROSE RESOURCES PLC ("Melrose" or "the Company") Appointment of Independent Non-Executive Director Melrose Resources plc (LSE: MRS), the oil and gas exploration, development andproduction company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr James DouglasAgnew as an independent non-executive director with immediate effect. Mr Agnew, 48, is currently Chairman of UK Corporate Broking at Deutsche Bank. Hejoined Deutsche Bank in 2002 having previously been Head of Corporate Broking atMerrill Lynch from 1995 to 2002. Prior to that he was a Director of CorporateBroking at Smith New Court from 1990 to 1995 and at CCF Laurence Prust. He is amember of the Panel on Takeovers and Mergers, the UKLA Advisory Committee andthe London Stock Exchange Primary Markets Group.
