Incident involving contractor at OJSC Apatit
PhosAgro ("the Company"), a leading global vertically integrated phosphate-based fertilizer producer, announces that a worker employed by PhosAgro subcontractor OJSC SPM has died in an incident that occurred while performing work on the installation of a new reagent container in the reagent block of OJSC Apatit's apatite-nepheline processing plant no. 2.
An investigation has been launched into the incident. No employees of OJSC Apatit died in this incident. Additional capacity from processing plant 3 will be available to cover temporary outages of processing plant 2.
