The Board of Haynes Publishing Group P.L.C. (the Haynes Group) is aware that certain statements have been made in the press that Haynes is 'considering a takeover from a rival publisher'. This is a totally inaccurate statement. The Haynes Group did issue an announcement yesterday to the effect it was considering an offer for the purchase of its UK Book Manufacturing business. These discussions relate solely to the Manufacturing division of the UK business. There have been no discussions with any party regarding the sale of the Haynes Group as a whole.
