ILX GROUP ENTERS NEW ZEALAND
The ILX Group (ILX), the AIM quoted provider of e-learning software and business training, has opened an office in Auckland, New Zealand and is the first Best Practice accredited training organisation to establish a permanent presence in that country.
Since April, when ILX opened its Sydney office, it has secured five New Zealand clients including the Government Departments of Internal Affairs, Conservation, Labour, Ministry of Transport and the New Zealand Transport Agency. New Zealand businesses have historically committed significant human and financial resources by flying staff to Australia for training purposes. ILX now provides an alternative and more cost effective option.
Martyn Kinch, Vice President of ILX Group's International division said, "ILX is witnessing a significant Australasian growth phase and the New Zealand market is a major part of our expansion plans. Australasia is one of the largest major growth regions for the PRINCE2® led Best Practice training." He continued, "We are revolutionising learning with our highly interactive, state-of-the-art elearning software. The Company has identified an opportunity to be the first Best Practice accredited training organisation in New Zealand and reinforce its reputation as a world leader in the this space."
Ken Scott, Chief Executive concluded, "ILX Group's flexibility of delivery, course pass rates and focus on customer service has provided the platform for the company's ongoing success and expansion. The use of technology in PRINCE2® led Best Practice training has given ILX some of the industry's highest examination pass rates. Within the next year, we plan to expand our presence in the Australasian, Middle Eastern, South African and Nordic regions. India and China are also a focus reflecting the global emergence of these economies and the growing use of PRINCE2® led Best Practice training."
ILX currently operates in 91 countries with a client base exceeding 5,000 corporate, government and other customers. The Australian/New Zealand operation has performed particularly well generating nearly AU$0.5 million of sales in the first quarter ending June 30, 2010, a four-fold increase over the same period last year.
