Telefónica O2 Business Solutions - a new subsidiary of Telefónica O2

From the beginning of 2009, customers, business partners, and specialists will encounter a new brand in the Telefónica O2 Czech Republic group. The company is the largest provider of voice and data services in the Czech Republic and is also very successful in the fields of providing consultation, system integration, and providing managed services. These activities are now being consolidated into the company Telefónica O2 Business Solutions, which will be the result of the merger of the current subsidiaries Deltax Systems and Telefónica O2 Services. This is the final step of the integration of O2's activities in the field of ICT.
"The mission of Telefónica O2 Business Solutions will be to make a significant contribution to helping the parent company reach the top position among ICT service providers," says Salvador Anglada, CEO of Telefónica O2, adding, "The decision of the Board of Directors to integrate our activities in the field of ICT into one subsidiary company brings several immediate benefits, especially by simplifying the model of management and processes, improving the use of resources, and increasing operational efficiency."
Integration will mean a definite historical milestone in the evolution of the Czech ICT market. Telefónica O2 Business Solutions will become the first converged ICT provider that is also capable of providing end-to-end services. The strong background of the parent company, which currently has around 8,700 employees and operates over eight million active lines, will be a considerable advantage. Its portfolio will contain a complete offer of products that are provided to prominent subjects from the public and private sectors. Customers include multinational concerns and ministries, as well as small and medium-sized businesses and entrepreneurs. The new company will be the only one on the market capable of offering a complete spectrum of ICT services. This consists of providing fixed and mobile telecommunications services (data and voice), end-user stations and network infrastructures, the development and implementation of software tailored to the customer's wishes, security solutions, system integration, the complete operation and maintenance of all technologies, outsourcing selected services, and consultation regarding new requirements, including employee training.
The company's several certificates and appraisals are a testament to the quality of the solutions it provides. This year, for instance, it received the grand prize as the TOP system integrator in the prestigious TOP program, which evaluates the most significant providers of ICT services on the Czech market every year. Individual products of the company have also won top awards, for instance O2 Computer Solution was named IT Product of the Year.
